Archer Security Group to Support Industrial Security Education for Spanish-Speaking Countries

As attackers try to hack into critical systems, Archer Security Group helps educate security professionals from Latin America

Who is keeping the world’s critical infrastructure safe from cyber attack? Archer Security Group is going to help inform and train industrial security professionals from Spanish-speaking countries to grow the ranks of cyber defenders world-wide.

Archer Security Group is supporting an education event in Madrid on October 5th and 6th, 2016.

The non-profit Centro de Ciberseguridad Industrial is holding its Industrial Cybersecurity International Congress VII, bringing in people from Spanish-speaking countries to learn, share and discuss industrial cybersecurity.

Archer Managing Partner Patrick Miller is giving a presentation at the congress, and Archer Security Group is sponsoring the event. Miller is also the Centro de Ciberseguridad Industrial’s ambassador for the United States.

“Their mission rocks,” said Miller. “This education will make the Spanish-speaking countries’ infrastructure safer, more reliable and more efficient.”

Latin American countries are modernizing their infrastructure and turning more and more to digital systems, called industrial control systems.

They are changing from analog systems to things like embedded systems, the Internet of Things and automation, Miller said.

“Those are all coming their way,” said Miller.  “Organizations like the Centro for Ciberseguridad Industrial are going to be helping them make that transition more securely, with a higher degree of reliability in the systems they’re putting their trust in.”

“This event brings together all of the great minds from the Spanish-speaking world on industrial control systems security,” he said.
