Mike’s journey in regulatory compliance began at SERC Reliability Corporation, where he distinguished himself as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Compliance Auditor. In this role, he spearheaded audit teams, leading them through comprehensive CIP Compliance Audits and Spot Checks and setting a high standard for diligence and thoroughness.

His expertise is not limited to audits alone; at Florida Power & Light, Mike excelled as the Manager of Power Delivery Reliability Standards & Compliance and Training & Execution Assurance. He oversaw compliance sustainability and quality assurance for the Power Delivery business unit. His leadership ensured stringent adherence to all NERC Reliability Standards, along with a proactive approach to legislative and regulatory initiatives, cyber security, and infrastructure protection compliance.

Mike’s dedication to excellence led him back to SERC, this time as the Manager of Business Process & Risk Assessment. In this pivotal role, he provided strategic leadership. He spearheaded tactical planning, significantly contributing to developing the regulatory risk profile and implementing continuous process improvement methodologies across the corporation.

Before joining Archer, Mike further demonstrated his commitment to innovation and excellence as a Senior Account Manager at Force 5, Inc. He worked closely with power utility companies, deploying sophisticated Enterprise Visitor Management solutions that bolstered physical entry requirements and ensured seamless compliance at every checkpoint.

Mike’s academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Science Degree in Enterprise Risk Management from New York University. His commitment to leadership and personal development is evidenced by his certification as a Coach, Speaker, and Trainer with Maxwell Leadership.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mike is a decorated combat veteran and a US Army Ranger with two distinguished combat deployments in Iraq. His dedication to service extends into his personal life, where he serves as an ordained minister and Pastor at Refuge Ranch Ministries in Indian Land, SC.
