Kim Moulton is an accomplished, purposeful professional with extensive experience and a deep understanding of the electrical utility industry since 1991.  Kim’s career boasts a wealth of knowledge in FERC and NERC compliance, strategic planning and governance, ethics, project management, internal controls, engineering, planning, and risk assessment of the electrical transmission system.  Previous to Archer Kim worked for multiple electric utilities throughout her career, including Vermont Electric Company, where she held various positions, including Director of Compliance and Chief Compliance Officer. Kim holds two degrees in Electrical Engineering, an MSA in Leadership, and is a graduate of the Vermont Leadership Institute.

Using her expertise and proficient skill sets, Kim’s focus is on making greater industry contributions and leading transformative change to enhance the overall reliability, resiliency, and security of the Bulk Electric System within North America. Together with regulators, industry participants, registered entities, and peers, Kim works to formulate cost-effective, strategic, risk-based approaches to regulations to successfully mitigate ongoing threats that could significantly impact the grid’s future.  Constantly looking to align business sustainability and electric grid reliability, Kim is passionate about helping companies discover new approaches to maintaining compliance that are beneficial to both the owners and the electric grid.

In addition to her position on the NPCC Board of Directors, Kim was an active member of the NPCC Compliance Committee, has made multiple industry presentations for best practices associated with meeting NERC Compliance, the benefits of internal controls, process improvements, communications, training, and the importance of successfully implementing corporate compliance programs to reduce risk, increase efficiency, facilitate strategic alignment, and enhance the organization’s future viability.
