Mr. Pauling is a successful business professional holding over 25 years of experience
applying audit, ethics and compliance, financial, reporting and advisory techniques to
enhance compliance, maximize financial performance and increase operational
effectiveness and efficiency. Mr. Pauling specializes in diagnosing challenges, shaping
and implementing solutions, developing reporting and exceeding key performance
indicators. He is decidedly effective in overcoming barriers, building effective teams,
developing effective compliance processes and demonstrating adherence. He possesses a
wide range of knowledge and experience in successfully creating and implementing
strategic operational processes, establishing and maintaining compliance, and leveraging
cross-functional relationships.
Mr. Pauling served as President and Chief Executive Officer for 100 Black Men of
America, Inc., the largest African American led mentoring organization in the country.
He also served in the gas and electric utility industry for over fifteen years in a variety of
executive, management and consulting capacities. Most recently as the Executive, Ethics
and Corporate Compliance for NV Energy, Inc. Additionally, he spent six years in Public
Accounting performing Assurance and Advisory Services with the international
accounting firm of Ernst & Young, LLP.
Mr. Pauling graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree in
Accounting from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia and completed summer
studies at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. He is a Certified Public Accountant,
Chartered Global Management Accountant, Certified Compliance and Ethics
Professional, Certified Diversity Professional, Certified Fraud Examiner, GA Partnership
for Educational Excellence – Education Policy Fellow, and author of the book The
Recruit: Life Lessons. He has chaired numerous Boards and continues to serve on several
in various capacities.
