We had the opportunity to sit down with Michelle Carter, our Human Resources leader. In this month’s The Archer Experience discover why development in Team Archer and continual growth are her focused passions. Michelle has been with Archer for over five years and is its Human Resource leader. She comes from an extensive office management and sales background but chose to move into a Human Resources role that allows her to passionately serve and support its employees in a capacity focused on development. “I’m immensely interested in human resources because it requires a passion for developing employees, including strong communication, social, and listening skills. I believe people are the bedrock of all organizations; without that foundation, there is no organization. Helping to keep employees motivated and supported is imperative, especially for companies wanting to be industry leaders.” She has been diligently focused on improving continuously and building reliable methods for the organization’s business practices. “At Archer, I’ve been able to help create and carve out new processes and procedures. In collaboration with our managing partners, I’ve created and updated a significant amount of documentation related to human resources, such as our employee manual, performance evaluations, onboarding, new hires, and job descriptions for social media and online postings.” When asked why she is passionate about working at Archer, she explained, “Working for an industry leader and top-notch organization has afforded me the opportunities to surround myself with industry experts and valuable team members. Their level of integrity and ethics is unsurpassed. They also bring a wealth of information and expertise not only to employees but to our incredible clients. I am quite blessed and fortunate to work with an incredible team devoted to guiding, mentoring, and steadfastly making a difference. For the next steps at Archer, Michelle plans to implement a college recruiting program and construct a high-impact campus recruiting strategy, increase Archer’s campus presence, and partner with universities and colleges.
