We focus on managing partner Leonard Chamberlin in this month’s The Archer Experience. We had an inspirational and enlightening conversation discussing organizational strategies, company direction, and leading with essential purpose. Leonard possesses a rich and robust background with extensive experience consulting for the energy industry as well as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). His expertise is primarily in large-scale digital network engineering, cyber and physical security focused on Industrial Control Systems, and NERC CIP compliance. With Leonard’s concentrated direction, Archer shows dedication to moving the organization and its clients to the next level by looking to other critical infrastructures and how Archer can deliver as a leader. For example, the Oil and Natural Gas (ONG) critical infrastructure is a recent addition as an organizational opportunity and strategic vision in which we assist clients in implementing new compliance requirements resulting from Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security directives. The consequences of insufficient security are expansive, as demonstrated by recent ransomware events. Archer makes implementations of directives much smoother and helps assure customers are meeting security directives and expectations. In addition, Archer has expert utility compliance leaders and previous regulatory auditors on our team responsible for implementing the new controls into business areas that are possibly resistant to change. While Archer historically focused on the electric sector, Archer’s approach to security and compliance is applicable across any critical infrastructure as evidenced by our recent engagements in with ONG. Additionally, the Oil and Natural Gas Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ONG-ISAC) selected Archer as a collaborator partner. ONG-ISAC invites ten vendors to be formally involved and participate in information sharing, analysis, and best practices. Archer is thrilled about driving security and compliance conversations with the ONG community and being a collaborator partner. When asked about Archer’s future direction and focus, Leonard happily responded, “Archer’s vision speaks to our perspective of what we can do by solving tomorrow’s security compliance problems today. We will continue to build upon that vision as our clients call upon us to help prepare them not only in the electric sector, but also in ONG, and other sectors. Archer intends to anticipate upcoming changes and advancements and can advise and prepare our customers with purpose and direction. Taking Archer and its amazing infrastructure and partnering with clients and the community to do “better good” allows us to build trust and bring unparalleled value.” As a managing partner and consultant, Leonard brings a magnified level of expertise and passion to Team Archer and its clients by providing a high level of dedication, fresh ideas, and continued support.
